The first, PROTEM, is a French company specializing in the study, design and manufacture of portable machining equipment for the construction, maintenance, repair and dismantling of tubes and pipelines. There are many applications: orbital cutting, chamfering, straightening, countersinking, surfacing, drilling, reaming, cutting heat exchanger tubes to length, removing weld beads on exchangers, replacing steam generators, etc.

The second, SERCO, is also a French company specializing in the study, design and manufacture of mobile machining units. It draws its uniqueness from its ability to design and manufacture equipment whose components make it possible to obtain perfect rigidity when they are attached to flanges or valves, which allows very high precision machining illustrated by tolerances of up to one hundredth of a millimeter. This recognized expertise means that today SERCO is still the only manufacturer in the world to offer independent adjustment of concentricity and flatness. In addition, the design of SERCO mobile machining units allows them to be implemented in very small dimensions and in very restrictive environments.

The PROTEM Group has also launched its ULTIMASTER brand on the market in order to offer complete ranges of orbital tube cutting machines dedicated to work on thin-walled tubes.
