Urrestarazu began its activity in 1957 in the sector of bolts and turned screws, in one of those low factories where, in the middle of the last century, the industry was forged in the Bajo Deba valley.

Throughout the decade of the 1970s and as president of the association of business leaders for the promotion of the Industrial Polygon of Soraluze, the manager of the company Mr. Fernando Urrestarazu, as well as other business leaders local companies, encourage the construction of said industrial polygon, to which many companies of the urban core and other nearby localities will be transferred later.

In 1988, the URRESTARAZU company moved to its new premises in the Mendiola industrial area, where it now has 2 pavilions, one dedicated to forging and the other dedicated to bar turning and machining, with a total area built of 3000 m².

Urrestarazu Metalworking has sought, throughout its history, to supply and respond to the changing needs of its customers, adapting to the standards demanded in each era and responding to market demands with advanced processes and technological means, as well as with qualified human resources.
