R+W - Motorsport meets precision technology

A special project from Neuruppin shows how versatile our couplings can be used, even beyond classic mechanical engineering.

Mr. Bona, a keen tinkerer from near Berlin, installed an R+W EK2/60/C/22/22 precision clutch in a dirt track racer from 1949. The coupling connects a compressor to an EK1/60/C type elastomer coupling, which in turn is coupled to the generator.

For this special configuration, the pulleys were converted to flat belts - with impressive results:
