Alstom invests €150 million to accelerate production of the TGV M

Alstom has announced a €150 million investment plan to accelerate production of the TGV M, its next-generation very high-speed train. A new assembly line will be created in Petite-Forêt (Nord) near Valenciennes. Between the factories in the North and those in La Rochelle, this financial injection is expected to create 1,000 jobs by 2025, to support the thriving market, with 1,000 jobs spread between the two sites. This investment aims to triple the current production capacity of the Avelia Horizon, increasing production from 1 to 2.5 trains per month within two years. This ramp-up is intended to meet the sharp increase in rail demand, while SNCF, faced with a saturation of its supply, expects the delivery of 115 TGV M trains by 2026.
