Successes and solutions from industries in the South region

SEPEM Martigues - from June 3 to 5, 2025, at the Martigues Hall

An essential event for regional companies looking to anticipate the future, explore new solutions, and source local partners, the SEPEM Martigues trade show will be held from June 3 to 5, 2025, at the Martigues Hall. This 9th edition, organized in the South-East region, will offer an enhanced offering, at the intersection of performance, transition, and industrial attractiveness. New for 2025, the SEPEM Trophies will honor innovation by rewarding companies for their inventive and responsible solutions. Finally, SEPEM Martigues will contribute to the future of industry by implementing a specific program to raise awareness and attract new talent to this sector.

A trade fair serving regional manufacturers

With more than 220 exhibitors expected, 40% of which are from the South region, SEPEM Martigues brings together a comprehensive range of process equipment, maintenance tools, safety solutions for humans and machines, and environmental improvement systems supporting the transformation towards the factory of the future. This edition will showcase a wide range of expertise, driven by startups, SMEs, mid-cap companies, large groups, and subcontractors committed to the competitiveness of local industrial sites. Among them, visitors will meet TVT Innovation - the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolis Economic Development Agency - with the companies: Acti Azur (boilermaking, industrial piping), Baumier (boilermaking, mechanical welding, sheet metal work, machining), EMM (precision mechanics), Fluiidd (measurement and control), Sopromec Gibellino (metal machining, boilermaking), Vulcain Naval Méditerranée (mechanical and naval studies and design), etc.

Highlights and new features from SEPEM Martigues

On the first day, SEPEM Martigues will offer an inaugural session where representatives of the Metropolis, the City of Martigues, the CCI and regional elected officials will discuss industrial prospects and investments in favor of decarbonization (Tuesday, June 3, at 11 a.m.).

This sequence will be followed by the presentation of the SEPEM Trophies, a new distinction rewarding, in three categories, responsible innovations and initiatives that make sense in the current transformation of the industry.

1. Sustainable Innovation Award

Dedicated to companies that have developed innovative solutions to reduce their environmental impact: technologies promoting energy savings, eco-designed processes, recycled materials, etc.

2. Digital Transformation Award

Rewarding companies that have integrated digital tools (automation, AI, IoT, etc.) to optimize their industrial processes, improve their competitiveness or accelerate their digital transition.

3. Social and Societal Commitment Award

Promoting initiatives related to employee well-being, equal opportunities, inclusion or positive impact on local areas and communities.

On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the EMC2 Cluster will offer a free training course1 (in French and English) to improve sustainable asset management. Designed for industrial professionals involved in maintenance, asset management, and sustainability, it aims to teach and understand the levers that will enable industrial performance to be reconciled while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Participants will be able to complete their training with an online test and earn the "Sustainable Asset Management Leader" certification.
Funded by the European Union through Interreg North West Europe, this operation aims to train businesses in the North West Europe region (France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands) in a set of best practices to achieve European objectives of increasing overall energy efficiency by 32.5% by 2030.

1 Training offered as part of the More4Sustaibaility program supported by Interreg North West Europe.

  • Employment, training and employer branding (Thursday, June 5, at 11 a.m.).

SEPEM Avenir: a system dedicated to training, employment and the attractiveness of professions

In 2025, 8 out of 10 industrialists report experiencing recruitment difficulties in industry1. Designed to bring young people closer to the industrial world, the SEPEM Avenir program aims to introduce industrial careers, inspire vocations, and connect training and recruitment issues. It will offer immersive courses for middle school, high school, and university students, interactive activities, a digital job wall, and career guidance tools.
Let us recall that in 2022, the region already provided 13% of French industrial talent, with 9,803 students in their final year of studies, in vocational training, or BTS, in training linked to industry2.
