Circ invests 450 million euros in Saint-Avold to revolutionize textile recycling

The American company Circ has formalized a €450 million investment in Saint-Avold to build the world's first polycotton textile recycling plant. Selected from among 80 sites worldwide, the Moselle region will also host a water treatment plant and an R&D center. Scheduled for completion in 2028, the plant will process up to 200 tons of textiles per day, the equivalent of one million T-shirts. This project, supported by the Choose France summit, will create 200 jobs. Guillaume Thome, Director General of France, emphasizes his ecological ambition in the face of a highly polluting textile industry, with the goal of sustainably transforming the sector on a global scale.
