Ahlstrom invests 15 million euros in Saint-Séverin and strengthens its position as European leader in greaseproof paper

The Finnish group Ahlstrom, Europe's leading manufacturer of parchment paper, inaugurated a fifth production line at its Saint-Séverin (Charente) site on May 21. Named the PMZ5, this new machine transforms cellulose into greaseproof and water-resistant parchment paper, primarily used in the food industry. This €15 million investment will allow the site to employ more than 200 people. It confirms Ahlstrom's commitment to the Charente plant and strengthens its development strategy for cellulose-based products. The site is thus positioning itself as an industrial pillar in France and Europe.
