Daimler invests €92 million in Ligny-en-Barrois to make France a leader in electric buses

Daimler Buses announces a major investment of €92 million in its Ligny-en-Barrois plant (Meuse), with the potential to create 600 direct jobs by the end of 2026. This project aims to make this site the largest electric bus production center in Europe. Emmanuel Macron, visiting ahead of the Choose France summit, welcomed the promise of sustainable employment, particularly for young people from work-study programs. For Daimler, France is becoming a strategic pillar of its industrial network in Western Europe, with a stated ambition: to supply the European market with zero-emission vehicles and aim for carbon neutrality.
