HTL Biotechnology strengthens French bioproduction with a new line of sterile hyaluronic acid

On June 6, 2025, on the occasion of the National Bioproduction Day of Biomedicines, HTL Biotechnology inaugurated a new sterile hyaluronic acid production line at its Javené site (Ille-et-Vilaine). This innovative process combines hyaluronic acid with thermosensitive molecules, thus opening the way to new therapeutic applications, particularly in ophthalmology. This €12 million investment is part of a global strategic plan of €100 million by 2026. By training a team specialized in aseptic processes, HTL confirms its role as a world leader in pharmaceutical biopolymers and its commitment to French industrial sovereignty in the field of biomedicines.
