MJ Valorisation: Jonathan Jarrousse, a leader who transforms waste into value

Since its creation in 2005, MJ Valorisation has continued to evolve, driven by the demanding and humanistic vision of Jonathan Jarrousse, its president. Starting from nothing—a simple van for collecting metals in the countryside—the entrepreneur has built a structured, innovative group over twenty years, with a presence throughout the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region. At the intersection of industrial performance and environmental responsibility, MJ Valorisation proves that waste management can become a driver of sustainable growth.
Exemplary eco-sites serving responsible industry
In 2023, the company reached a strategic milestone with a €3.5 million investment in a new eco-site in Sainte-Sigolène, dedicated to metals. The site includes an evapoconcentrator treatment plant, a rainwater management system, photovoltaic panels for energy self-consumption, and a fleet of Euro 6-compliant trucks. Everything is designed to combine high-tech technology, safety, energy efficiency, and compliance with environmental standards.
This infrastructure perfectly illustrates Jonathan Jarrousse's vision: "produce better, pollute less, anticipate regulatory and societal expectations." A second site is already under construction in Monistrol-sur-Loire, covering two hectares, for an additional investment of 8 million euros. In 2025, it will be dedicated to general waste, and two years later, the treatment of hazardous waste will be included.
A global approach, from advice to development
MJ Valorisation's true uniqueness lies not only in its industrial tools, but also in its integrated approach to the business. Sorting, collection, processing, traceability, and also regulatory support thanks to a Design, Consulting and Engineering Office: the company offers a comprehensive and tailor-made solution. Thanks to powerful digital tools (ERP, customer extranet, Trackdéchets, interfaced tablets embedded in collection vehicles), customers benefit from seamless, transparent, and 100% compliant management.
To date, no regional competitor offers this level of service coupled with such in-depth regulatory expertise. This "global partner" positioning allows MJ Valorisation to build loyalty among a diverse clientele (VSEs, SMEs, large groups, and local authorities) while professionalizing a rapidly changing industry.
People at the heart of performance
Jonathan Jarrousse advocates a management philosophy based on listening, objectivity, and consistency. He initiated a comprehensive 12-month CSR approach, implemented personality tests (Profil Success) to improve team synergies, and ensures the well-being of his 35 employees: works council, bonuses, restaurant vouchers, internal challenges, etc. The work environment is designed as a lever for sustainable performance.
By 2024, MJ Valorisation had already reached nearly €10 million in revenue, more than triple that of 2019. This momentum continues unabated, driven by a structured vision, bold investments, and the ability to engage teams in a long-term project.
For Jonathan Jarrousse, "where there's a will, there's a way—but you need a clear direction, buy-in from your teams, and the humility to constantly evolve." An inspiring lesson in governance at a time when the industry is seeking impactful models more than ever.
