56 - France will build Greece’s Mediterranean “shield”

In order to modernize his army, the Greek Prime Minister has confirmed the purchase of 24 Rafale planes and 3 new defense and intervention frigates (FDI) for an investment of some 6 billion euros. This choice of Greece reassures the workers of the Lorient shipyard. The arsenal, which employs nearly 3,000 people, including 2,200 Naval Group employees and 800 subcontractor employees, would have struggled to survive without an export contract.
