Leygatech invests €12 million in growth
After opening a production unit in Yssingeaux in 2018, the manufacturer of recyclable mono-material plastic films based in Saint-Romain-Lachalm plans to expand its two sites in Haute-Loire by 2023. In Saint-Romain-Lachalm, an additional 12,000 m2 have been acquired, a clean room dedicated to the pharmaceutical packaging market of 5,000 m2 will thus be created. In Yssingeaux, the aim is to increase the production capacity of the site currently 40,000 m2 by an additional 1,500 m2, mainly dedicated to extrusion for cosmetics and pharmacopoeia. This first quarter of 2022, the Yssingelaise unit will host a 9-layer machine specializing in the manufacture of mono-material packaging. This real estate investment also implies a reinforcement of the workforce which will eventually be increased from 220 to 225 employees. Note: On November 29, 2021, Leygatech received with Orep Packaging, flexible plastic packaging converter and Fleury Michon, the client and end customer, a packaging Oscar for its innovation: a pasteurizable pouch made of polyethylene (PE) flexible.
