7 - LOOP INDUSTRIES has chosen Normandy for the siting of its first Infinite Loop factory in Europe.

Using its proprietary and revolutionary technology, Loop Industries takes waste PET plastics and polyester fibers, which cannot be recycled through conventional methods, and transforms them into valuable materials. This new factory located in Port-Jerôme-sur-Seine aims to support the sustainable development objectives of European consumer goods companies. Work is scheduled to start in 2023 with commissioning approximately 18 months later. This new Infinite Loop factory model will be designed to produce 70,000 tons of virgin quality PET resin per year from recycled materials. This represents an annual saving of 255,000 tonnes of CO2 compared to virgin PET resin made from fossil fuels.
