33 - Mondēlez invests 10.9 million Euros in its chocolate biscuit factory in Cestas

This is an investment that strengthens the production activity of the Cestas site, near Bordeaux, to meet market challenges and the strong growth of the Mikado, Granola and Petit Écolier de Lu brands. the production capacities on certain lines and to develop the automation of an activity that is currently manual (on the manufacture of the Mikado) to enable the teams to increase their skills. The deployment of this investment is planned from the second quarter of 2022 and will extend until the second half of 2023. This amount is in addition to the 20 million euros that Mondelēz International invests each year in all of its nine biscuit factories in France, i.e. for five years, more than 100 million euros. The Cestas factory has 11 production lines, produces more than 47,000 tons of biscuits per year and employs more than 500 people.
