76 - Eastman creates 1800 jobs and invests 850 million Euros in Normandy
The American chemical group Eastman wants to set up the largest plastics recycling plant in the world in Port-Jérôme-sur-Seine, in Normandy. This is one of the largest foreign investments in the country for thirty years. At stake: 350 direct jobs and 1,500 indirect jobs. Eastman plans to invest up to 850 million euros for this plant, which will be operational by 2025. "This site provides the essential elements for the construction and operation of a facility of this magnitude", said Mark Costa, CEO of Eastman.
