36 – Issoudun: Regeltex insulating gloves are exported all over the world

Regeltex, a company specializing in the manufacture of insulating gloves for work in an electrical environment, has experienced strong growth since its acquisition in 2013 by the Novarc group. There are only three or four manufacturing sites for insulating gloves for work in an electrical environment in the world and Issoudun is one of them. These gloves are used by technicians working on power lines ranging from 500 to 40,000 volts. The company's turnover increased from 4.7 million euros in 2013 to 7.9 million euros in 2021. This growth is explained by the rise of electric cars in the world and a better consideration of risks in emerging countries. In June 2022, Regeltex will start a new ultra-modern robotic production line for which the company has invested 600,000 euros. “The objective is to modernize the production tool, to sustain the company and to increase the production capacity by 50%”, explains Nel-Yvon Galiu, Deputy Managing Director. Production should thus increase from 690,000 gloves to more than one million.
