85 - Liébot and Corre launch a low-carbon aluminum smelter

Manufacturers Liébot and Corre, carpentry and extrusion specialists, are going to invest 30 million euros in Sainte-Hermine in Vendée in an aluminum production unit from carpentry waste. The 9,000 m2 foundry, the first casting of which is scheduled for autumn 2024, should produce 20,000 tonnes per year. This investment combines, on the same site, a process for stripping joinery, grinding, sorting by magnetic separation, sieving, X-ray, as well as a foundry. This new industrial entity, called Coralium, will initially employ 60 people for an annual production of 20,000 tonnes of aluminum billets, these cylinders of raw material intended for extrusion. This volume should subsequently increase.
