69 - Mersen to invest more than 15 million euros in its Saint-Bonnet-de-Mure plant
Expert in electrical specialties and advanced materials for high-tech industries, the Mersen group (more than 1,300 employees in France) will invest between 15 and 20 million euros in its production site in Saint-Bonnet-de-Mure (Rhone).
The plant, which employs 350 people, will in particular acquire high-performance automated lines to honor a 7-year contract signed with Automotive Cells Company (ACC) with the aim of responding to the electric vehicle market.
The estimated turnover would be around 200 million euros. Mersen has been selected by Automotive Cells Company (ACC), a joint venture between Stellantis, TotalEnergies/Saft and Mercedes-Benz, to supply smart laminated interconnect bars of its new generation of sustainable batteries.
Part of the investment will be reserved for the development of its strategic partnership with ACC.
