27 - Thales to invest more than 30 million euros in a reindustrialization program on its Pont-Audemer site
Thales wishes to diversify the activity of its site of Pont-Audemer in the Eure with the aim of perpetuating it.
The group wishes to set up the production and assembly of high value-added electronic cards, in parallel with its historical activity of producing SIM cards.
This investment of 30 million euros will enable Thales to "strengthen control of its supply chain, strengthen its production capacities and contribute to the national sovereignty of major defense programs".
In addition to SIM cards, the Normandy plant will therefore produce and assemble, from 2025, integrated electronic cards (printed circuit boards known as "PCBAs"), which are found in particular in the majority of electronic devices on board aircraft and on which the site of Cholet (Maine-et-Loire) is already working.
