CARL Source 7 will be available from January 2023 in SaaS and On Premise mode. This new version is equipped with ergonomic evolutions, business improvements and innovations around IoT, BIM and mobility.

The serenity and security of SaaS

In search of permanent customer satisfaction, CARL Berger-Levrault is changing the architecture of its CARL Source 7 application to SaaS mode. The publisher thus offers a dynamic platform that continuously disseminates improvements to meet the needs of its customers.

Its objective: to enable all of its customers to free themselves from the technical constraints of hosting, infrastructure and updates while guaranteeing the highest level of security with complete peace of mind. To do this, CARL Berger-Levrault lends credibility to the security of its hosting via ISO 27001 certification. All of the solutions are tested by an external company expert in intrusion.

Finally, in order to help its customers comply with GDPR legislation in terms of the management of personal data, the entire application, including mobile extensions, has mechanisms for automatic anonymization and validation of the T&Cs. (Terms of Service).

Ever more efficient ergonomics and business functions

CARL Source 7 extends its contextualization possibilities with new graphics in order to better adapt to the expectations of its users. The reception portal has been enriched and its handling redesigned in order to inform, alert and guide the maintenance technician in the actions he must carry out on a daily basis.

CARL Source 7 has a new asset evaluation functionality that enriches the health record of buildings, infrastructure and technical equipment.

This allows the technical services to have a complete and objective vision of the assets and thus to make the right decisions.

This new version offers an automatic resource allocation function for future interventions. This speeds up and simplifies the planning of interventions.

Finally, a customizable workflow configurator allows users to adapt the software's processes to their organizations. For example, a tool can have sequences of different states from a safety device.

Mobile applications at the service of actors in the field

For more than 10 years, CARL Berger-Levrault has made mobility a major area of development to meet the expectations of its field users. The multi-platform mobile solution (Android and iOS) CARL Touch is enriched with an agenda simplifying the consultation of the activity planned or carried out for the technicians. RFID technology or the inventory of equipment in the field complete the functional richness of this new version.

CARL Source 7: a new version resolutely turned towards the future

Thanks to the support of the Berger-Levrault group, innovations are multiplying.

CARL Source 7 integrates the new BL.viz4D platform. This platform allows the display of 3D digital models (BIM & CIM) in interaction with the CMMS. This innovation completes the IoT platform and the maintenance assisted by Artificial Intelligence already launched in 2021 and thus makes it possible to offer a complete vision of the digital twin of the heritage (Digital Twin) to users.

All of these developments are the result of collaboration with numerous pilot customers who invest alongside CARL Berger-Levrault. This openness guarantees an effective response to the requirements of CARL Source users.
