71 - Makao is gradually relocating its packaging production

While until now, the Parisian company Makao manufactured all of its products in China, last October it opened a production line for packaging and boxes in Mâcon, in Saône-et-Loire. Three million euros had been invested in the project. A second production line is also planned for the end of 2023, while the company plans to open a new building in 2025. Edmond, its newly created subsidiary, is in charge of this. Until then, Makao manufactured its products entirely in China. A decision taken during the pandemic when long-distance routes were severely disrupted.
