31 - The Toulouse start-up Aura Aero launches its production plant at Francazal airport
Aura Aero has just announced the opening of a production plant for its ERA hybrid-electric aircraft and its two-seater Integral aircraft. It will be located at Toulouse-Francazal airport. In order to keep to its industrial schedule, which foresees the start of series production of ERA, its 19-seater hybrid-electric regional transport aircraft, from the end of 2025, the manufacturer plans to set up in the next thirty months on this new site, with a built-up area of 40,000m2. Called AURA Factory, this site will bring together both the industrial division of the aircraft manufacturer (assembly lines for Integral and ERA aircraft with production lines for sub-assemblies) and the energy division. It will also house the design and advanced research department, as well as the Customer Center, the device delivery center and the administrative, commercial and management teams. This new site will be sized to produce 150 aircraft per year, 50 Integral and 100 ERA. To this end, the workforce could increase from the current 130 people to nearly 1,600 employees at the site's maximum rate. Le Toulousain intends to invest 150 M€ in this future factory.
