50 - The SEB group equips itself with a new PCB production line in Saint-Lô
Created in 1971 by Moulinex, SEB's Saint-Lois site is today the group's electronics development centre. This site has just created a new production line and is diversifying its know-how. It will in fact make it possible to assemble “complex electronic cards for WMF professional coffee machines”, at the rate of 60,000 components per hour. The investment, of 1.2 million euros, was “supported up to 25% by the Normandy Region”. The site now produces nearly 5 million electronic cards per year, ie 10 to 15% of the group's needs and are mainly intended for French production. Between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, in order to secure the supply chain, a relocation of part of European and Chinese production is planned and will increase production to the tune of seven million electronic cards per year.
