44 – Systovi plans to double its production of solar panels

Systovi, the subsidiary of the industrial group CETIH, based in Nantes, is one of the only French manufacturers of solar panels (from the silicon cell to the finished product) in a sector dominated by China. With the aim of creating a second production line for "new generation" solar panels, the SME has just invested 1.5 million euros in its plant in Carquefou (Loire-Atlantique), which opened in 2018. Its production capacity annual production now increases to 40 MWp (Megawatts-peak), or about 10,000 panels. Another investment of 1 million euros is planned for 2023, with the aim of doubling the production capacity and thus reaching 80 MW, or 200,000 panels. The investment relates to a panel laminator, a 154° C oven, with a capacity greater than the two other laminators already in place.
