MG Tech unveils the future of palletizing

On the occasion of its last show, the MG Tech group presented its new high-rise and heavy-duty cobot palletizer, equipped with a Yaskawa HC30 cobot arm and a Rockwell Automation control system.

Differentiating assets

The MG Tech cobot palletizer differs from existing ones on the market by several advantages:

• A palletizing capacity greater than the current offer on the market . Our cobot palletizer is able to palletize boxes on different pallet sizes (800x1200 mm / 1000x1200 mm / 40''x48''), handle boxes up to 30 kgs. MG Tech also offers the installation of a lifting column at the level of the cobot, thus allowing a greater height of palletization (more than 2.5 meters).
• Mastery of the handling of closed and open boxes , making this equipment perfectly suited to the food industry. Thanks to a wide range of grippers – some of which are patented – our palletiser offers multiple, juxtaposed or stacked gripping depending on the type of box. The ability to palletize open boxes with a cobot arm is a first in the cobotic palletizing market.
• An automation architecture perfectly adapted to industrial constraints and which allows direct control of the palletizer robot from the HMI. MG Tech is able to offer its cobot palletizer equipped with a Rockwell, Schneider or Siemens system.

Equipment that meets industrial needs

The cobot palletizer is aimed at all types of market. With a performance of up to 6 cycles per minute, manufacturers will have a machine that is easy to install and maintain and has a reduced footprint. It allows a surface saving of up to 15% compared to a conventional robot palletizer thanks to the absence of casing around the machine.

Robot or cobot?

MG TECH has been integrating different robot brands into its palletizers for more than 15 years. Cobotics is a natural evolution of the MG TECH group which has been present in 4.0 for years towards 5.0 with cobots and AGVs. If robots make it possible to palletize very heavy loads at a high rate, cobotics brings other advantages: a small footprint on the ground by the absence of casing, flexibility by the possible movement of the equipment, ease of use and start-up. Cobotics offers a modern, affordable factory image and demystifies robotics for operators.

A signed design

To design its range, MG Tech called on Axena Design. Well known to the group, this firm had redesigned all of the end-of-line equipment. We therefore find the main guidelines: an all-white electric column, anthracite gray casings underlined by an inclined man-machine interface to facilitate reading and intervention for operators. The LED systems, cleverly placed, allow the operator to be quickly informed of the progress of his production.

A new palletizing software

To complete its palletization offer, MG Tech has just developed new software in-house allowing the automatic creation of palletization diagrams. This new, perfectly intuitive software is compatible with all robotic and cobotic palletizers available on the market. It can be controlled on a touch pad or directly via the machine's HMI.
