Liebherr will build a new factory in Alsace: 300 jobs at stake
The German construction equipment manufacturer, Liebherr, is to set up a new factory in Nambsheim, (Haut-Rhin), in the area of the former Fessenheim nuclear power plant.
More than 300 jobs should be created. The group formalizes an investment plan of 170 million euros as part of this establishment and specifies that this project will create more than 300 jobs.
The new unit will be devoted to the production of mechanically welded components, essential parts for the manufacture of earthmoving machines.
A second activity will concern the pre-assembly and assembly of the cabins. Liebherr will need to recruit personnel in a wide range of technical professions.
Applications are expected to open in 2024.
