The seed company Bayer invests 11 million in the Landes
The manufacturer, which has nine sites in France, is creating a new generation seed coating line (corn and rapeseed) in Peyrehorade designed by a Breton SME. An investment of 11 million for a new seed coating installation which will protect the plant from the first days and promote its growth without depositing phytosanitary products in the soil. A new line designed by Dynavia, an SME from Morbihan which has been working on the project for four years. "We are the only ones to offer such a powerful tool, in particular thanks to the innovation brought to our pumps which dose the product", explains Steven Le Garrec, President of Dynavia. The Peyrehorade factory, which processes 40,000 tonnes of corn on the cob each year, employs 200 people as well as 270 seasonal employees during peak activity. An investment which constitutes a kind of pilot and could equip other sites in the future.
