Trescarte creates a new plant to triple its pulse sorting capacity
A specialist in the packaging of legumes, Trescarte, a family business based in Loudes (Haute-Loire) is going to invest 15 million euros in a new 9,000 m² site on 7 hectares of land. The future factory will be the most productive and the most innovative in France. "Loudes 2" will be a "factory 4.0", with advanced technology at all stages of production (a unit for storage, sorting and packaging of pulses and other seeds) from product entry to exit. Indeed, with a turnover of 13 million euros, an increase of 20% in 2022, the Trescarte factory, built in 1978, has become too small. This new unit will enable it to package between 15,000 and 18,000 tonnes of lentils, chickpeas and dried beans each year… That is three times more than today.
