GIT invests in new surface treatment lines
Specialist in surface treatment of aeronautical parts, GIT (Galvanoplastie Industrielle Toulousaine) has just invested 3.5 million euros in two new lines at its site in Cugnaux (Haute-Garonne). These will complete the creation of a pilot line created in 2022 which offers new service offers based on alternative processes to chromium VI (widely used in surface treatment, and considered toxic). The objective: to comply with the European “Reach” regulation relating to the use of certain chemical substances in surface treatment processes and to increase productivity. The two lines will be operational in the spring of 2024 and will lead to the creation of around twenty jobs.
