Airbus confirms the installation of a new A320 assembly line in Toulouse

The aeronautical group confirmed that it chose Toulouse to install a new production line with the key, the creation of 600 jobs… An investment of several tens of millions of euros. Airbus sees a potential return to pre-crisis production rates, planned between 2023 and 2025 for single-aisle aircraft. The goal is to have a new production site ready in time to cope with this recovery. Currently set at 40 aircraft per month, the A320 will increase to 45 at the end of 2021 then 55 at the end of 2022 to return to pre-crisis levels, 60 monthly units, in 2024.
