Stellantis Metz-Borny: €60 million to launch 5 production lines
Stellantis has decided to invest €60 million to start 5 new production lines for components for the group's hybrid and electric model gearboxes. Commissioning is hoped for October 2024. Nearly a hundred employees will be needed for this increase in the number of hybrid gearboxes assembled. 80 employees, hitherto employed in the manufacture of gearboxes for thermal engine vehicles, will be trained in these new technologies and will thus see their jobs saved. As thermal engines stop tomorrow, the manual gearboxes they produce will also stop. In total, three lines will be intended for the assembly of clutches, one will be devoted to differentials and one to hydraulic modules.
