The new Colissimo Aquitaine platform comes into action

The new Colissimo logistics platform in Cadaujac, near Bordeaux, has just entered service. This investment of 40 million euros makes it possible to sort up to 19,000 packages per hour and make thousands of direct deliveries. Enough to absorb the growing e-commerce flows to consolidate the leadership of the La Poste subsidiary. After months of testing, this platform entered service on November 13 to address the peak period, which extends from mid-November, with Black Friday, until the end of December. This investment will have made it possible to install an ultra-modern sorter equipped with 1,748 individual trays forming a 1.2 kilometer circuit, around which 130 postal workers (double with temporary workers in “peak period”) and ultra-modern machines.
