A new factory for Martin-Pouret
The Martin-Pouret vinegar factory, founded in 1797 in Fleury-les-Aubrais, has moved to Boigny-sur-Bionne in the Loiret, leaving its historic workshops. The work, which began in spring 2023, is now complete. "It was an epic move," confides Paul-Olivier Claudepierre, co-owner. The transfer of the 12-meter-high vats required exceptional convoys, but the greatest difficulty was the movement of the bacteria responsible for transforming wine into vinegar, requiring more than thirty attempts and six months of work. The factory, with a surface area of 5,000 m², modernizes working conditions, with an improved production line to manufacture 1.2 million products per year. A tour route above the vats will allow the public to discover the secrets of the vinegar factory. The new factory will also include a store, cooking workshops, and events to relaunch the brand's image. The owners are aiming for a turnover of 10 million euros.
