The Thébault group launches construction of its laminated veneer lumber factory
The Thébault group, the French leader in plywood, is starting work on its laminated veneer lumber (LVL) production plant in the Parc d'activités sud Auvergne in Lempdes-sur-Allagnon. Since March, earthworks on 15 hectares have been completed, with the installation of networks underway. The first foundations were laid this summer, and the site, which will cover 25,000 m², should be operational in the summer of 2025. LVL, a light and resistant material, mainly intended for construction, will obtain CE marking in early 2026. Recruitment of future employees was launched in June, in partnership with France Travail and local elected officials. The Thébault family group, with a turnover of 100 million euros, has five sites, and the Lempdes-sur-Allagnon plant will be the sixth.
