Dunkirk: Ecocem invests €50 million for low-carbon cement production ACT

Major step forward for the cement industry! Ecocem, the European leader in low-carbon cements, is investing 50 million euros to install a new production line at its Dunkirk site. Dedicated to ACT technology, it will produce more than 300,000 tonnes of this new binder, containing 50% limestone, thereby reducing the carbon footprint of cement by 70% compared to conventional cements. This investment will bring the site's total production to 1 million tonnes per year, compared to 700,000 currently. In addition to accelerating the sector's ecological transition, it will sustain existing jobs and create 15 new positions from 2025. Supported by France 2030, this project confirms Ecocem's key role in industrial innovation and the decarbonization of construction.
