uSense
uSense is an all-in-one 3D imaging system designed for non-destructive laboratory testing and off-line quality control. With a full range of unique features and performances, uSense device enables volumetric inspection of the structural integrity of any dielectric object. uSense also adapts to any type of defect, enabling detection of cracks, delamination, metallic or wet foreign bodies, permittivity extraction and thickness measurement. uSense is also suitable for operator training in industry and even for students in more academic settings.
The station includes a set of several FMCW radar heads operating at different center frequencies; 120, 240 and 300 GHz and different spectral widths depending on thickness resolution requirements. The imaging station offers a 295 x 595 mm² scan area that can be inspected quickly thanks to a minimum acquisition frequency of 67 Hz.
uSense is supplied with interchangeable optics with focal lengths ranging from 25 mm to 125 mm to suit all needs, integrated laser pointers indicating the area of incidence, and a touch-sensitive tablet embedding the system's proprietary control and processing software.
