YASKAWA
MOTOMAN HC20DTP collaborative robot
Yaskawa is releasing a new version of its heavy-duty collaborative robot, the MOTOMAN HC20DTP, from the HC series – “Human Collaborative”. This cobot has a payload of up to 20 kg and covers a working range of 1900 mm. These features provide great flexibility for use in a variety of applications and especially for end-of-line operations, such as palletizing large cartons, crates or other stackable goods.
The Yaskawa novelty is based on the installation of a strap on the wrist of the entire range of collaborative robots, in order to simplify the integration and wiring of the grippers. This system has almost become the norm in the world of cobots, and makes it possible to mechanically link peripherals with ease. Yaskawa robots also have the advantage of offering an internal harness (Ethernet, I/O, air), which makes it possible to avoid wiring from the outside, which is less practical and flexible.
In addition, the design of the HC20DTP and the entire MOTOMAN HC cobot series emphasizes particularly user-friendly operation. Indeed, the robot arm can be guided and programmed directly by hand - DT for “Direct Teach” and P for “Plug & Play”. This innovative system saves time and simplifies the creation of robot programs. The MOTOMAN HC20DTP can also be easily programmed and used in conjunction with the user-friendly and modern touchpad-style “Smart Pendant” programming box, or with the conventional manual “Teach Pendant” box.
