ZERUST® Emibo® VCI Capsules
Description
ZERUST® Emibo® products contain a volatile anti-corrosion active ingredient in the form of a VCI diffuser. This active ingredient has the property of gradually diffusing VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) corrosion-inhibiting vapors. The capsules protect ferrous and non-ferrous metals from atmospheric corrosion during storage and/or transport.
ZERUST® Emibo® capsules offer corrosion protection for up to several years. Therefore, they are suitable for multiple uses.
Technical details
Key Features: Emibo® capsules are VCI diffusers that provide protection against corrosion. They are anti-abrasive, dust-free, dry, and odorless.
Formation of the protective layer: It takes approximately 3 hours for VCIs to diffuse into a hermetically sealed packaging space of one cubic meter at 20°C. The closer the product is to the VCI diffuser, the shorter the diffusion phase.
Effectiveness duration: The duration of protection depends on the application and the parts. Our technical team will guide you. Long-lasting corrosion protection of up to 15 years is possible if our specific usage recommendations are followed.
Storage: As is, EMIBO® diffusers can be stored in tightly sealed boxes (in a dry, clean and cool place) for use within three years. Store away from light, moisture and dust.
