PEM® crimp inserts

Bossard offers the widest range of crimp fasteners on the market: studs, nuts, standoffs, lock nuts, captive screws, etc. in steel, aluminum or stainless steel.

Many innovative solutions have been developed following customer requests: crimped but free-rotating nut, R'Angle, SpotFast crimp rivet, etc.

Advantages of crimping:

- The insert does not fall out, does not loosen and offers a definitive and secure assembly.

- The number of moving parts is limited and assembly costs reduced.

- Crimping inserts make it possible to obtain high quality threads in sheets too thin to be tapped.

- PEM fasteners are designed to guarantee excellent torque and pull-out resistance performance.

• Insert for printed circuits:

Bossard also offers a complete range of fastening nuts, studs,

posts, captive screws for printed circuits in FR4, plastic, composite or aluminum. The inserts are broached or reflow soldered.

PEM has developed the SMTSO range, designed to be mounted on electronic boards automatically and at the same time as all other surface mount electronic components (SMT) before the reflow soldering process. These inserts are supplied packaged in tape and reel and are compatible with existing automated Pick & Place surface mount equipment.
