New galvanized steel production line opens in Florange

“Galsa 2” is the name ArcelorMittal France has given to its new galvanized steel production line, Usibor, which it has just inaugurated at its Moselle site. This is one of the largest investments of the steel giant in Moselle for 20 years, or 89 million euros. The construction of this 2nd production line represented a tremendous opportunity to develop new innovative technologies. (Touch screens, notifications that come directly to the user, choice of information, line management inspired by new technologies, etc.)   The noise pollution of this new line has also been limited for local residents, as has its impact on the environment. This line produces several hundreds of thousands of tons of steel per year, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and supplies almost all European car manufacturers. This steel is also used in household appliances (burners, ovens, cooking bars). To make production more efficient, two computer control lines in an ultra-modern cockpit have also been created.
