uEye XCP: Smallest industrial camera with housing and C-mount

The new XCP camera range of the uEye+ product series from IDS Imaging Development Systems not only combines industrial quality and low system price, it also offers the smallest camera with housing and C-mount, filling a gap on the market. The models measure just 29 x 29 x 17mm and feature a fully enclosed die-cast zinc housing with a USB Micro-B screw connector. Thanks to their cost-optimized electronics and compatibility with common lenses, they are ideal for price-sensitive applications.

By launching this range of cameras on the market, IDS demonstrates that industrial C-mount cameras can also be offered, in the smallest industrial standard format, at an advantageous price. They are intended for customers, for whom an advantageous cost prevails; they are very compact and light camera models, and of industrial quality due to their extraordinary characteristics. For example, they can be used for analytical work in the laboratory, in the production or visual assistance of robots in the automation sector, or they can act as eyes on board autonomous navigation vehicles. .

Initially, industrial cameras will be produced in series featuring ON Semiconductor's global shutter sensor, AR0234, 2.3 MP and rolling shutter sensor, AR0521, 5 MP. Other sensors will follow. Thanks to USB3 and Standard Vision (U3V / GenICam) compatibility, the cameras can easily be integrated into any image processing system. In principle, they can be operated with any suitable software, but their use is very simple with the modern IDS peak software development kit.
