67 - A new Schmidt Group production unit in Sélestat

The Alsatian group Schmidt groupe has just invested 50 million euros to create a new production unit on its Sélestat site. A 20,000 square meter building which should eventually make it possible to manufacture 400 kitchens a day. This new site is ultra-modern: a 4.0 factory with, in particular, a new robotic assembly process. For Boris Herrmann, its production manager "we are investing in new technologies, robotics, ecological optimization". This building will be heated with biomass. Recruitment is also planned: 200 people, production and maintenance operators, technicians, all the people needed to support a site like this.
