42 - Linamar recruits in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes

The Linamar automotive subcontractor, established in Saint-Chamond since 2015, has just won a major contract from the manufacturer Stellantis, a giant resulting from the merger 2 years ago of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and PSA. Consequences ; an investment of 30 million euros and the creation of around a hundred jobs by the end of the year. On the equipment side, five new production lines will be added to the existing eight. They have been being installed in the factory since the end of 2022. The operation corresponds to the arrival of nearly 70 new machine tools by the end of the year (see photo). Machining centers, lathes, cutters, laser engravers, cylindrical grinders, tooth grinders, superfinishing but also automatons, conveyors and around thirty robots to move the parts in the production flow "as well as manual and automatic (dimensional, optical, meshing) to control them which constitute the industrialization in progress”. Enough to double the volume of parts produced within a year. In terms of recruitment, the company will hire operators, adjusters, line managers, but also quality, control, automation, logistics and maintenance, etc. The company will provide almost all of the training on site. They can range from 15 days to a year depending on the position. The company says it is open to all profiles, even someone who has never worked in the industry.
