Whenela opens a factory in Massy to industrialize its optical quantum computer

The French start-up Quandela is moving from laboratory to production by opening a factory in Massy for its photonic quantum computer.

It thus intends to deliver three machines every six months which will be sold on its own or used for its quantum platform on the cloud, against only one today.

It will become the first quantum computer production plant in Europe.

The project has been generously supported by the French government, which is keen not to be left behind by other nations on this strategic subject.

It injected 9.5 million euros through Bpifrance as part of the "Première Usine" call for projects of the France 2030 plan.
