Tronox starts recycling its acid effluent
In Thann (Haut-Rhin), the only titanium dioxide (TiO2) production site in France, the American company Tronox has decided to play the recycling card in its manufacturing processes by investing nearly 5 million euros in a sulfuric acid effluent filtration unit. This makes it possible to purify the effluents before reinjecting them at the start of the production chain. Tronox thus intends to reduce its sulfur consumption for its manufacturing processes by 10%.
