70 million investment in the “Camembert Président” factory

To mark the 90th anniversary of the Lactalis dairy group, the Domfront factory in Orne has just invested 70 million euros for a new Camembert manufacturing unit. Thanks to this investment, the Lactalis site now benefits from a new coagulator, the heart of the production of the famous President Camembert. This new equipment, with its 80 meters in length, becomes the largest coagulator in the world and should allow the group to increase its production and exceed 500,000 camemberts per day... A creation of more than 150 jobs is also planned.
