Sanden invests in a new line for electric vehicles in Tinténiac
Automotive equipment manufacturer Sanden, acquired by the Chinese company Hisense, is devoting 68 million euros to a modern production line for electric vehicle compressors at its Tinténiac plant (Ille-et-Vilaine). This project, 17% supported by the France 2030 plan, aims to secure jobs and support the transition to electrification.
Installed with the help of Japanese technicians, this unique line will manufacture EC-Gen5 compressors to cool electric vehicle batteries. The first series productions are expected by the end of 2025. Present in France since 1996, the Tinténiac plant is becoming a key site for the production of new generation compressors, thus strengthening Sanden's position in the changing automotive industry.
