Fast and robust collaborative robot

Yaskawa expands its range of cobots by introducing the new MOTOMAN HC30PL heavy duty palletizing specific. With an even higher maximum payload of 30 kg, it can be used for order picking tasks, for loading and unloading heavy loads in warehouses, which can be very strenuous, monotonous and not very ergonomic for an operator. Thanks to the large reach of the cobot, each end of a standard Euro pallet can be reached over a stacking height of 2 meters. Without a safety barrier, the robot works in totally secure collaborative mode and can thus be easily integrated into existing environments, in order to save space. It can operate without being affected by external factors, such as the passage of employees or forklifts. By adding laser scanners that detect the distance between the cobot and the operator, the movement speed adapts to the situation and allows high-speed movements, up to 2 m/s, to optimize cycle time when it's possible.

Easy programming thanks to the "Smart Pendant" box

With its modern and intuitive “Smart Pendant” programming box, touchpad type, Yaskawa makes cobot programming easier. The new “Smart Pattern Wizard” software guides the operator through the different steps to create different palletizing patterns. Using a few reference points and information about the pallet layout, the software wizard generates the cobot program, which can be easily adjusted later. The standard “Teach Pendant” box and the complete “PalletSolver” software are available for users experienced in traditional robot programming.

Quick commissioning thanks to the Yaskawa ecosystem

Installing grippers and accessories has never been easier thanks to the cobot flange and the internal harness allowing the routing of cables (inputs/outputs, Ethernet and two air inlets). For the HC30PL, accessories from all major manufacturers are compatible. Thanks to the launch of its "Yaskawa Ecosystem" partnership program in 2022, Yaskawa now has a very varied network of suppliers of peripheral equipment and complete systems, mainly dedicated to palletizing cobots. In addition to the products of our partners, the "Yaskawa Ecosystem" also includes in its offer some of our products such as drives, linear axes and software packages. Currently, more than 120 products are offered in the ecosystem. With this Plug & Play solution the objective is to allow a complete and easy mechanical, electrical and software integration at the same time.
