Optical forks
The optical forks combine the transmitter and receiver in a single device and are therefore perfectly aligned. They emit a precise beam of light in the form of visible red light or invisible infrared light. This fine light beam produces a very small diameter light spot across the entire width of the fork. Sensitivity adjustment is carried out using an integrated potentiometer. This makes it possible to detect very small parts, holes, grooves or notches. If the active light beam between transmitter and receiver is interrupted, the output switches accordingly.
It is possible to choose between operation in dark mode (opening contact) or in light mode (closing contact). Adjustable by a selector directly on the device.
All our optical forks have an IP67 protection rating. Connection is made via a 3-pole M8x1 connector.
Material: Body: aluminum. Finish: Black anodized body. Instructions for use: Sensitivity adjustment:
- when the potentiometer is at the left stop, the sensitivity is maximum, very small parts are detected. Resistance to dirt is low.
- at the right stop, the sensitivity is the lowest, large parts are detected. Resistance to dirt is better.
Setting the NO/NC selector
- Left stop = NO (make contact)
- Right stop = NC (opening contact) Use: This sensor cannot be used for personal protection.
