Bowden cable collector for indexing fingers with remote control
The Bowden cable collector allows three Bowden cables to be combined. For example, it allows two indexing fingers to be actuated with a single control element. Thanks to its reversible use option, an indexing finger can also be actuated by two control elements. To do this, simply pull on one of the two control elements and the indexing finger engages.
Two mounting holes for countersunk screws enable flexible mounting. Thanks to the width of the housing and the position of the mounting holes, mounting on 40 mm aluminium profiles using M8 cleats can be envisaged without any problems.
Matter :
Thermoplastic housing and trolley.
Brass stop screws and screw fittings.
Stainless steel hex nuts and housing screws.
Order Notes:
Indexing fingers with remote control and control element must be ordered separately.
The Bowden cable between the control element and the distribution manifold must be ordered separately.
Note:
When installing Bowden cables, the following points must be taken into account: The length of the free end of the cable can vary depending on the installation angle, bending radius and load. Therefore, the length of the counter-stop (cable sheath) must be adjusted using the stop screw supplied after installing the Bowden cable. The stop screw can be used to adjust the pre-tension of the Bowden cable system at the same time.
When installing, particular care should be taken to ensure that the minimum bending radius is observed, in this case R = 65 mm. Too tight a radius can lead to increased wear and increased friction. It is also important to avoid temporarily going below the minimum bending radius during installation, in order to avoid damaging the cable sheath.
Furthermore, the sheath is only designed to absorb pressure forces. If it is stretched too much, the internal spiral is stretched and permanently damaged.
Assembly :
Open the housing and mount its lower part in the intended position using countersunk screws.
Pass the Bowden cables through the stop screws and hang them in the cable collector trolley.
For this purpose, it is possible to optionally use the screw connections supplied.
Adjust the play in the Bowden cables using the stop screws.
Place the housing cover in place and secure with the screws provided.
Once the cables have been laid and secured, the final adjustment of the Bowden cable clearance must be carried out.
